THE WITNESS is a wake up call-any one of us can caught
up, like Ajay Seth, in politico-commercial intrigues and be
transformed into a pawn on the dangerous chessboard of everyday life.
The author writes of a world he know well. The set pieces
politico-compelling without any touch of melodrama. The main characters
are identifiable and the background is evoked effectively. Undercurrents
of the Mumbai mafia creates interesting ripples in the plot.
|
The story fluctuates between a love story with suspense
and a hardcore political thriller with romantic asides.
|
As you turn the pages you are bound to ask the
question, "Are we witnessing the arrival of the Indian Jeffrey Archer?"
